Purchase Inspections
It's likely the biggest investment of your life. Don't use just any inspector. A MasterGuard inspection gives you much more than you would get with anyone else. You will learn about basic systems of the home and their condition, in addition to a thorough and detailed inspection including structure, foundation, exterior, plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical, interiors, garage, attic, roofing, grounds, and much more.
Pre-Listing Inspections
Don't wait until a buyer inspects your home, finds deficiencies, and tries to negotiate a price reduction.
Smart sellers have MasterGuard inspect their homes before listing it, and benefit by knowing the condition of their home and making necessary repairs before it hits the market. A Seller’s Inspection from MasterGuard can also be used as a comparison to what the Buyer’s inspector finds.
Licensed, Certified, Insured
All inspections are personally performed by the founder of MasterGuard, who has over 25 years of construction, inspection, and real estate investment experience. He is licensed by the state of Tennessee, a certified member in good standing of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, radon certified by the International Association of Indoor Air Consultants (IAC2) and is fully insured.
Drone Roof and Site Inspections
Drones enable us to capture high-resolution video footage of your roof, exterior walls, chimney, vents, and overall site. Drones can be more thorough than walking a roof, because they shoot video footage the entire time in the air. Because of this, you get way more data than you would if you were occasionally taking photos walking around on a roof. There is also improved access to hard-to-reach places.
Radon Gas Detection
We are IAC2 Certified and are ready to perform a radon inspection to detect this deadly radioactive gas. Radon is the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer behind smoking. Much of Middle Tennessee is susceptible to high radon levels. Radon gas is invisible and odorless, but our calibrated detectors can tell you if your home has high levels.
Thermal Imaging
In addition to visual and basic functionality testing of home systems, MasterGuard offers state-of-the-art thermal infrared scanning. This allows us to more accurately inspect the heating and cooling system as well as detect hidden moisture, leaks, or insufficient insulation inside walls.
